COURSE PRESENTATION
This course is organized with the purpose of enhancing the surgical skills in a variety of surgical and endoscopic approaches to the skull base.
It gives the participants a better understanding of complex skull base procedures that are crucial in the treatment of skull base tumours, some deep seated cerebral tumours and complex aneurisms.

During the course the participants will:
- Review and perform microsurgical approaches, with endoscopic assistance where appropriate, to the anterior, lateral and posterior skull base on cadaver specimens;
- Perform the endoscopic approach to the anterior skull base under the direction of the world class honoured guest and distinguished faculty;
- Discuss the surgical techniques and complexity of the various surgical skull base approaches, viewing surgical videos and interacting with the world renowned experts in the field;
- Discuss complication avoidance and management.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES >> KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO DEVELOP
- Understand the scope and applicability of the different microsurgical approaches (with endoscopic assistance where appropriate) to the anterior, lateral and posterior skull base;
- Learn to use the endoscope as an assistant to the described approaches;
- Understand the surgical techniques and complexity of the various surgical skull base approaches;
- Discuss complication avoidance and management.

Medical Doctors with Specialization in Neurosurgery (priority) and Neurosurgery residents in the lasts years
