Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions are set between LHEA – Association for Lifelong Health Education, located in Rua Manuel Joaquim Avelar, 118, Floor 2, 2750-421 Cascais, with fiscal number 515 467 626 and phone number +351 911 191 954, and owner on Ahed – Advanced Health Education, aimed at providing to health professionals post-graduate educational programmes in health, from now on called Ahed, and all those who wish to buy services through the website, www.ahed.pt, from now on Clients.

Both parties agree that purchases carried out through the aforementioned website are regulated by the present terms and conditions, except otherwise explicitly mentioned in the website.


Clause 1. Object
These general conditions aim at defining and clarifying all information of the services rendered by Ahed, in order for the the Client to apply, pay, register, and participate in Ahed’s educational programmes.


Clause 2. Application
When applying for a course at Ahed, the Client subjects personal and professional data that will be verified and assessed to check that admission criteria for that specific program are met. Applications for Ahed programs can be carried out online at the website or offline.


Clause 3. Application fees
Application fees, for applications made online at the website or offline, are as follows:
- 100 € for programmes with registration fees above 1000 €
- 50 € for programmes with registration fees below equal to 1000€


Clause 4. Payment options for application fees
Payment options for application fees are available online at the website, and include credit card (Visa, MasterCard), wire transfer in Euro, and Multibanco. When applicable, proof of payment from the Client may be required by Ahed. Online payment options at the website are made available by via Easypay - Instituição de Pagamento, Lda. Transaction costs are included in the application fee.


Clause 5. Payment of application fees
To proceed with payment of application fees, the Client must register online at the website or send his application offline. When applying online, the Client registers and selects his preferred payment option. As soon as payment is received, confirmation of application and payment is sent by Ahed to the email address provided by the Client. When applying offline, the Client receives payment details in the email address provided and then proceeds to payment. As soon as payment is received, confirmation is sent by Ahed to the email address provided.


Clause 6. Refund of application fees
Application fees are non-refundable.


Clause 7. Doubts in payment of application fees
For additional information on application fee and payment of application fees, the Client may contact Ahed’s registration team at registration@ahed.pt.


Clause 8. Admission
The admission stage is an internal process of Ahed, in which verification and assessment of data submitted by the Client is carried out, in order to confirm that admission criteria are met, approving (or denying) the application, and notifying the Client accordingly. The analysis of the application is only completed when all the required information from the Client has been delivered to Ahed. Clients that fulfil admission criteria are accepted according to order of arrival. Once Ahed has approved an application, a notification is sent to the Client and the registration process starts.


Clause 9. Registration
The registration process begins once the Client is notified by email of the approval of the application, and requires the payment of the registration fee published for the selected programme. A request for registration will also be enclosed, including information relative to payment options available.


Clause 10. Payment of registration fees
To proceed with payment of registration fee, the Client selects a payment option and then proceeds to online payment. As soon as payment is received, confirmation of registration and payment is sent by Ahed to the email address provided by the Client. The registration stage is considered completed only when the total price of the programme is received by Ahed.


Clause 11. Payment options for registration fees
Payment options for registration fees are available online at the website, and include credit card (Visa, MasterCard), wire transfer in Euro, and Multibanco. Credit card payments entail an additional cost of 0,28€ + 2,95% of the amount paid. When applicable, proof of payment from the Client may be required by Ahed. Ahed’s online payment options are made available by via Easypay - Instituição de Pagamento, Lda.


Clause 12. Registration fees and general inclusions and exclusions in price
Registration fees (also called prices) are set per educational programme and presented at Ahed’s website. Despite of the information presented for each programme at the website, generally, the price published includes teaching fees, space rental, certificate of attendance, and materials used during the course. When different venues are considered in the same day, transportation is included. The price of the programme doesn’t include hotel accommodation, lunches, and dinners on course days, nor any other items unless specifically mentioned. When included in the programme, these will be charged separately, as optional extras added to the course price. Programme prices published by Ahed are exempted of VAT. Other items priced by Ahed apart from courses may however include VAT.


Clause 13. Registration of “early birds”
FFor registrations completed 90 calendar days before the date of the selected programme, application fees (excluding transaction costs) will be discounted from the programme’s price, and final registration value will be notified to the Client by email, along with admission and payment options.


Clause 14. Refund of registration fees when cancellation is required by the Client
Requests for cancelation of registration and registration refund made by the Client must be communicated to Ahed by email, up to 30 calendar days before the beginning of the programme. No refund will be issued if cancellation occurs after that moment, except for proven force majeure circumstances to be assessed, case-by-case, by Ahed’s registration team. No shows on programmes are entirely non-refundable. The Client must pay all expenses related to refunds. Refunds to the Client will be made by Ahed within 30 calendar days after cancelation of registration and through the same account used by the Client.


Clause 15. Course cancellation and refund when cancellation is required by Ahed
Course cancellation made by Ahed must be communicated to the Client by email, up to 30 calendar days before the beginning of the programme. Refunds of registration fee (excluding transaction costs) to the Client will be made by Ahed within 30 calendar days after cancelation) and through the same account used by the Client.


Clause 16. Postponement of registration
Requests for postponement of participation by the Client to Ahed have to be communicated by email, up to 30 calendar days before the beginning of the programmes and do not entail refund.
