COURSE PRESENTATION
This advanced course is meticulously designed to enhance surgeons' knowledge and practical skills in performing complex and less common foot and ankle procedures.
The emphasis will be on surgical indications, techniques, and the prevention of complications, using a cadaver lab setting, with anatomical specimens, to provide hands-on experience. The course aims to prepare surgeons to confidently execute these advanced procedures with precision, reducing the risk of complications.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Orthopaedic surgeons and 6th year orthopaedic residents with special interest in developing skills on foot and ankle surgery
LEARNING OBJECTIVES >> KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO DEVELOP
- Demonstrate Proficiency in Arthroscopic, Endoscopic, and Percutaneous Techniques
- Recognize appropriate surgical candidates for supramalleolar, calcaneal, and midtarsal osteotomies
- Understand the decision-making process for selecting surgical versus conservative treatment options in specific foot and ankle pathologies
- Anticipate and mitigate common complications associated with advanced foot and ankle procedures
- Implement strategies to avoid pitfalls during arthroscopic, percutaneous, and open surgeries
- Develop and refine skills in preoperative planning and intraoperative decision-making for complex foot and ankle surgeries
- Execute precise surgical techniques on cadavers under expert guidance, ensuring optimal alignment and biomechanical outcomes
