COURSE PRESENTATION
Colposcopy is an essential examination in modern gynecology, requiring continuous learning and updating.
This advanced course builds upon the foundations acquired in the basic course and, through the discussion of clinical cases and image interpretation, contributes to specialization in this field, constituting one of the accreditation modalities in Colposcopy by the SPCPTGI.
The aim of this course is to provide advanced training in the area of lower genital tract pathology, which is essential for certification in the practice of colposcopy, offering participants the knowledge and skills needed to achieve professional excellence in this field.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES >> KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO DEVELOP
- Consolidate the knowledge acquired in the basic course: anatomy and histology of the cervix, colposcopy technique, concept of the transformation zone, concept of disease; pre-invasive disease, benefits of screening for pre-invasive lesions, biology and pathophysiology of HPV, benefits and limitations of HPV immunization
- Understand the treatment techniques for pre-malignant lesions of the lower genital tract
- Understand the management protocols in response to screening abnormalities
ADMISSION CRITERIA
The selection will be made by analysing the curriculum vitae of the applications. In the case of applications with similar CVs, the date on which the application was completed will be taken into account, with priority given to completed applications on a first-come, first served basis.
