This course is a unique opportunity for general paediatricians, paediatricians with expertise in specific areas, general and family physicians, anaesthesiologists and surgeons to upgrade or acquire knowledge in multiple areas of paediatrics. It is known that specialization is a legitimate goal of every doctor, but knowledge of the fundamental areas of paediatrics is an enormous professional and personal value that must be cherished, implemented and instilled in the young doctors aiming to know the Child in its Whole. In reality, the Whole can only be fully appreciated if we know the parts.
Each one module will be an overview on urgent/emergent problems on one specific chapter of Paediatrics: neonatology/perinatology, infectious diseases, gastroenterology, cardiology, respiratory conditions, endocrinology, metabolic diseases, haematology, nephrology, neurology, adolescent conditions, psychiatrics, surgical conditions, transport.
Participants can choose to enrol in a group of modules or in the whole course.
Simulation-based teaching will use high-fidelity simulation, simulation using software/multimedia, simulation of clinical practice and procedures and in situ simulation. Simulation based lessons will be followed by experts on simulation-based education.
