COURSE PRESENTATION
3D mapping systems in electrophysiology have had significant technological evolution, making it possible to improve the quality of the geometry and activation maps, with real-time visualization of multipolar catheters and their relation to cardiac structures, allowing to obtain simultaneous maps of voltage and activation, automatically, with quick acquisition of high number of points.

The recent introduction in clinical practice of high-density catheters allows high-resolution mapping and reduction in procedural time. Studies are underway with promising results in the use of technological tools that will allow the systematic use of high-definition maps, with a better understanding of the electrophysiological substrates, in particular in more complex arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation, atrial tachycardias, atypical atrial flutter, and ventricular tachycardias.

The importance of the use of this equipment in the daily practice of the electrophysiology laboratories justifies the recognition of its potentialities, modalities of use in clinic activity and research, and experience of its applicability in the recognition and ablation of arrhythmogenic substrates. With this course, we aim to contribute to optimize the effectiveness and safety of interventional teams in the treatment of arrhythmias.
