COURSE PRESENTATION
The Basic Colposcopy Course, structured according to the training programme of the EFC – European Federation for Colposcopy and Cervical Cancer Prevention, aims to introduce the practice of colposcopy.
As colposcopy is an essential examination in modern gynaecological practice, consistent learning and periodic updates are key concerns that require targeted training offerings.
This course provides the foundational introduction to colposcopy, with theoretical sessions and simulated practice, enabling students to understand the principles of colposcopy and to recognise and identify lesions in various images, in order to later guide the appropriate treatment and follow-up. The course also includes simulated practice in colposcopy, biopsy, ECC, cryocoagulation, electrosurgery, and laser.
The Basic Colposcopy Course lays the fundamental foundations for the recognised and certified practice of colposcopy as a key examination in modern gynaecological practice. It serves as a fundamental introductory level, with successful completion being required for access to the Advanced Theoretical-Practical Colposcopy Course.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Residents and Specialists in Gynecology and Obstetrics
