COURSE PRESENTATION
Image-guided intervention, namely ultrasound, is a relevant subject in medicine, gathering interests from several specialties such as Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Sports Medicine, Radiology, Orthopaedics or Rheumatology. The development of ultrasound equipment with higher resolution at more affordable prices has indeed democratized its use, and the ultrasound is increasingly seen as the new "pocket stethoscope" for physicians interested in the musculoskeletal area.

In this course, we intend to introduce doctors to the ultrasound-guided procedures in a phased manner over one day of training, starting with the basic rules, a live-demo demonstration of basic sonoanatomy and the presentation of the main indications of the ultrasound-guided procedures, followed by a period of practical training in probe-needle coordination and the approach of the main joints in anatomical parts of animals.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Doctors, with an interest in the musculoskeletal area (interns or specialists in orthopaedics, rheumatology, physiatry, sports medicine, general and family medicine)
