COURSE PRESENTATION
The aim of this course is to provide differential training in specific orthopaedic therapeutic techniques performed in knee arthroscopy practice. This educational activity covers a range of topics, depending on the diagnosis of the different orthopaedic pathologies that can be treated by arthroscopy. It is first, a theoretical educational activity about the diagnosis, the surgical indication and the surgical arthroscopic technique for the treatment, followed by the practical cadaveric component in Cadaver Lab.

This course is completed in two days and has two modules, a basic one for the elementary training skills and an advanced one for the more differentiated surgical techniques evolving from the simpler to the most complex along the two days of training.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Orthopaedic surgeon residents (second half of the residence), recent specialists in orthopaedic surgery (less than two years post-graduate experience) or other orthopaedic surgeons that are interested in deepening theoretical and practical knowledge on knee pathologies for arthroscopic treatment.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES >> KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO DEVELOP
  1. To know and manage the principles of triangulation in arthroscopy surgery and the knee arthroscopic examination.
  2. To manage more complex procedures as therapeutic arthroscopic techniques of meniscal injuries and ligamentar instability: ACL repair and more complex instabilities, namely PCL and antero-lateral.
