COURSE PRESENTATION
The progressive increase in access and complexity of percutaneous techniques for coronary diagnosis and intervention make its understanding central in the curriculum of the current cardiologist. This course seeks to present, in a dynamic and interactive way, a complete approach of current knowledge and practice in this area.
The course will be structured in two independent modules.
This module develops, with a theoretical support but predominantly practical character, the central themes of percutaneous coronary intervention, seeking to update and deepen the state-of-the-arts for operators in training as well as experienced operators.
TARGET AUDIENCE
a. Subspecialists in Interventional Cardiology

b. Fellows of the Interventional Cardiology Subspeciality
LEARNING OBJECTIVES >> KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO DEVELOP
  1. Deepening knowledge in the area of intracoronary and microcirculatory physiological evaluation, and
transposing its results for complex clinical scenarios
  2. Developing interpretation skills of intracoronary imaging and integration of its findings in the process of
    coronary intervention optimization
  3. Developing techniques and apply specific tools for angioplasty of complex lesions
  4. Understanding the technical and decision-making peculiarities of left main stem angioplasty
  5. Defining strategies to approach coronary bifurcation lesions
  6. Developing techniques and tools applicable to calcified vessels and lesions
  7. Understanding the decision-making process and technical specificities of the approach to multivessel
    coronary disease
  8. Understanding and developing the principles and techniques of angioplasty for chronic coronary
    occlusions
  9. Designing interventional strategies in saphenous vein graft lesions
  10. Defining coronary revascularization strategies in patients with cardiogenic shock
  11. Organizing a circulatory support program for patients in shock and high-risk angioplasty
  12. Optimizing advanced life support protocols in the hemodynamics room
  13. Defining prevention strategies and emergent approaches to coronary complications
