COURSE PRESENTATION
Physical disability and poor quality of life represent high costs for individuals and society. The increase of elderly patients with multiple co-morbidities and use of expending therapies require complex treatment algorithms with careful monitoring. The development of new information and
communication technologies (ICTs) are changing the relationships between health professionals,
patients and other stakeholders, as well as the access to the health systems, with repercussions
on health policies.

There is pressure on all teams to provide effective and safe treatment within new collaborative
multi-professional paradigms.

The challenges arise in many areas such as implementation science, management, leadership,
cost-effectiveness, communication, outcomes measurement, multimorbidity, policy and inequities, new technologies and integrated care.

In this course, complex and interactive cases are used to discuss, develop and apply models with the combination of various knowledge and skills.
